thank you for your wonderful post and I have a question for you:
I have a few old Yashica cameras such Yashica Electro 35 GS and FX-3 Super 2000 and both cameras are accepting what I think is straight European/Japanese Cable Release (the one on the right of your pic).
I was trying to get this type of the cable for long time, but whatever is available around is with conical head (like the one on the left of your pic).
Could you tell me where and how I can get 1-2 cables and what should I call them correctly (sails people here in NYC at B&H have no idea what I'm talking about!)? Do you know anyone who's still manufacturing them??
