I love how sharp the drop is compared to the fore and background. Great control of DOF. You make me want to shoot water even though I'm usually not really that into it! Thank you

I was trying to get my exposure right here before hoping to get an unobstructed view, but really liked the way my friend looked through the iron bars here. You see I was shooting for free as a favor and there was another photographer there (hired by the bride's mother). So I was trying to be polite and hoping to get my opportunity to shoot, but I had to take what I could get. I did manage to get some unique shots.

My greens look a little washed out, I guess I could perk them up in PS - though she was my main focus.

Eric,
It's almost definitely the same flower. The photo is quite different though. What I like about Ahmet's photo is that the foreground is pretty sharp all the way acrossed the photo and the flower is more prominent as well. The composition is perfect in my humble opinion. The lilly pad to the left leads the eye perfectly into the subject and the background directly behind the flower bud is nicely out of focus because of the DOF used.
Nice job Ahmet, I look forward to looking through more of your photos.

This is a cropped image that I shot spontaneously at a recent wedding.

I'm glad so many of you pointed out this was a seascape. When I first saw it I really didn't know whether I was looking at cliffs with fog rolling in over them and the reflection of the sun off in the horizon through the fog or a long exposure seascape. To me it is a beautiful image well worthy of POW in my humble opinion. I could see this framed in the right decor/setting. I could also see it as artwork for an inspirational book cover or card. Congrats to the author on having it published and on the sales; it is a fine example of photographic art and I hope to be able to produce images such as this in time.

I think this is one of the most interesting photographs I have seen here so far. The view through the droplet covered window pane makes me feel as if I am there looking out and seeing one of my neighbors looking out also.

Hi All,
I hope you will consider taking time to critique my photograph. The artist is working on
a painting of a significant historic building here in Charleston SC. In this photograph it
is not yet complete. When I paid him a visit today to obtain a release for this photo he
was impressed with it and noted that I included in the background one of the sides of
the building he could not portray in his painting. He liked the photo so much he gave
me a print of the finished painting mounted on a slate shingle that was taken from
another historic building that the roof had been replaced on (retailed for around $160.).

It's just not interesting to me. Maybe instead of shooting directly into her crack, you could have had the model put her head all the way down resting her breasts on the bed and then used rim lighting just over the top edge of her backside allowing the light to fall off as it flows up toward the back of her neck. This would show more of her curvature, not only her hips but the contour of her back. The harsh lighting in one spot is just too much to me. I hope you will try this again in a different manner.

Hi Bill,
Beautiful portrait - She is gorgeous. Do her pupils look almost square to you? Could it be a reflection of a soft box? Just curious. Lee

I have been told that the advantage to painting over photography is that you can place everything exactly as you want it to be. I don't believe the finest painter could have painted a more perfect picture. Excellent can't even describe this photograph. Salute!

I love the color and the texture that can be seen when the photo is viewed full screen - great detail. Lee

I liked the photo before I saw the title, but after I saw the title "Dolphin" it actually does look like a couple of dolphins. Great photo and the name makes it even better. I love the way you play with water.
