Thanks for the responses, In some ways my situation is better that you are thinking, and in some ways much worse.

I'll start with the good news, I'm working with a fine b&w print on glossy paper. I print full frame and I

understand the proportion issues and I think I can deal with them ok.

On the other side, I'm scanning with a Canon MP600 printer/scanner, and I don't use Photoshop. I'm using

PhotoStudio 5.5. I'm not looking for perfection, I just want to do the best I can under these circumstances. I'm

currently uploading to JPG mag. scans at 300 dpi and 2200 ppi. Any help will be much appreciated, thanks Bill

I want to scan an 8x10" print to create a banner size (roughly 3x5') digital poster.

What spec's should I use in making the scan? Thanks in advance, Bill
