  1. <p>Thanks for all the info. Yes, I don't have sufficient knowledge. I do mainly video and when I was in school, photography took place in the darkroom. I have played some with PS over the years, but just some basics and gimics. So I really don't know what's the rule.</p>

<p>The thing is, the models are to get these shots and it is up to them to print them or not. Since they would know less than I, I wanted to make sure they got what will be the best final image, since it will in turn reflect on me.</p>

<p>The agency people are not photographers, so the questions I have asked get answers that only show they don't know anything, but I'm not going to point that out, nor do I want to divulge my newbiness to this realm. I know how to shoot and light and pose, just unclear in this aspect.</p>

    <p>Thanks again--gm</p>

  2. <p>Hi,<br>

Which is preferred in fashion. Did some portfolio shots, I assume going to be used both electronically and printed.<br>

Did a test print or the two, and I liked the bigger kick cmyk had, but the skin was a little yellow. Is this normal?<br>

I know I can correct with curves and/or color balance but I don't really trust my monitor and got a deadline so can't keep test printing.<br>

While I'm here, do I crop each to 11x13 or let them deal with it?<br>

Not getting answers from the agency, but want to get the reaccurring gig, so I have to find out other way, ie this forum (I hope).</p>

    <p>Thanks--gm</p>

  3. <p>Thank you all. It was the Hogan and the dpreview. And I'm sorry, I tried to find my thread from way back, but i wasn't able to. Thanks for that link as well.</p>

  4. <p>Hi,<br>

A couple of years ago, someone sent me a link to two websites rating and listing different nikkor lenses used for digital cameras. It was real informative and I didn't save it. I was hoping that someone is still around or someone else might be able to send me.<br>

    Thanks.<br>

  5. Hi, just got a sb-600 and having some trouble/confusion. What I understand, I don't have i-ttl capability, only d-

ttl...but on the screen it does'nt say the D...is that bad? Also I can't find how to set between indoor flash and fill flash.

And I have 2 lenses (a 50D and a 18-70 G) but it doesn't matter which one is on the screen always says 14mm...and

the manual shows it(I assume the default) saying 24. I can't find in the manual or on-line any answers to these

    issues.

    Thanks you.

  6. Hi,

Looking for used lenses (Fuji S3). I see there is something about the aperture ring not there, but does that make a

differenece if I'm only using it on the fuji? Thanks. George

  7. Hi,

I'm shopping for used lens (right now an all around zoom...28-105 or there abouts). There are a huge selection, with a

slew of alphabet soup included. My question...are they all (AF) f mounts? I have lookede at Bjorn's site, but he

doesn't include all the different letters I've been finding. Thanks. George

  8. Hi, I've been trying to set the cwb like the maual says, move setting to cus1, press shutter with grey card in frame.

The thing is nothing happens on the screens or in the viewfinder to tell me anything is going on or a new wb is being

saved. Other cameras I've had, you see the color actually change. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks. George

  9. I just bought a used s3 with no adapter. I see that it takes a 5V, 2.0A adapter. Can I go off brand as long as it has

these specs without fear of damanging the camera? Fuji is charging $100, and I can't tell if some of these cheaper

other sites are just saying it is a fuji AC-5VX and sending an off brand or not. Also I read someone got one with those

specs at radio shack and works. Thanks. George

  10. Hi, I just received a used s3. One reason I bought it was because AA batts. But the batts in the cam died while I was

learning the cam, and then I read it only took NI MH batts (on my olympus e-10, I use lithium e2 AA's which I love

because not having to swap out as often and having to find places to continue charging). Is this true? It didn't come

with a charger or the ac adapter. Also the batts are kodak, can I use any nimh charger for them(I checked best buy

and they don't have that brand). Also who sells adapter, the people at fuji were no help at all, and none sold on it's

    own on ebay. Thanks. George

  11. Hello, What I've been reading, there is some software included (hyper utility) for reading and translating raw files, but

that you need to buy a more sophisticated version to really do anything. True? Also everyone seems to talk about

Lightroom, all I have is photoshop. Someone also mentioned that PS cannot deal with the entire dynamic range. So

does that mean I diminish the quality of the image by bringing it into PS? And subsequently need to purchase

    lightroom? Thanks. George

  12. I assume this is the proper forum for fuji, being in the nikon family. I've been reading some throw away comments

about s5 not getting a sharp af focus, and s3 getting it right. Any comments? Thanks. George
