I wonder what you think about this one (analogue print). Any
constructive comments are highly appreciated.

Thank you, Rajat, for your constructive suggestion. I'll definitely try a second version, for the couple, cropped the way you did. However, I'll try to stick closely to the 2:3 (or 3:4) format.

I don't like to do much post-processing and none if possible (read
details).
Any constructive comments or suggestions are very welcome.

I like his condescending expression. He seems to be fully aware of his noble status. Great that you managed to take this photo!

Is this a black mask or natural shadow that really existed in the scene?
I think it might be important to have some structure at least in some parts of the shadows. As we still expect some shadow detail, even when the contrast in the scene is quite hefty, the image leaves a "suspicious" artificial impression. Even if we all love Photoshop, one would like to believe that the photographer has witnessed the scene just like it is reproduced in the photograph. -
It is a real joy to look at this photo, so calming and warm. The purple blossoms add a wonderful color detail to the scene, almost like a reward for the wandering eye. The composition is perfect, I like looking at this picture for a long time.

Beautiful, mild contrast between the reddish sky and the turqoise of the water. The people seem to be just in the right position too, such that the eye is guided through the photo. Excellent.

Thank you Floriana and El! Yes, this gothic skeleton really exists (i.e. there are no digital alterations, I just used a circular polarizer and played a bit with the contrast): it is the ruins of the Carmo church in Lisbon. The church has been destroyed in the devastating 1755 earth quake. The ruins now commemorate this event and at the same time it is warning to future generations that an earth quake is likely to ocurr again. And, last but not least, it is also a museum.
Kind regards
Marcus

The two suns are really a bit too much for me, obviously the intention was to create a face with eyes. I confess that I am not a friend of these drastic modifications and experiments. The idea here is very creative though. But I somehow lose the joy of photography knowing that everything is still possible after the shot has been taken, everything gets arbitrary, replaceable. Might be funny in the beginning, like using fish-eye lenses, but the thrill is wearing out with the time. And there are so many pictures out there...

The action of time...Many philosophic things could be said about it here. Because of its colours and its originality I would rate this timeless (???) image 7/7.

You always offer so well made observations of our daily life paired with thoughtful interpretations and wrapped in aesthetic compositions. Ok, it is unfair to reduce so much to just a few words but it is, in one sentence, a reason why I like visiting your portfolio time and time again. Kind regards. Marcus

Marcus
