    Many thanks for sharing your photo and the story that goes with it.

    This story reminds me of Nick Ut, the AP photojournalist who, on June 8, 1972, took the famous photo of the young girl who had just been burned in an errant napalm strike in Vietnam.

    Yes, Nick Ut did take the photos as she was running down the street after she had torn her burning clothes off. But what a lot of people don't realize is that he then poured water from his canteen on her, took her to the hospital in Cu Chi, and pleaded with the doctors to work on her because the doctors thought she was a lost cause.

    The girl did survive, but it was not until 28 years later when she told Queen Elizabeth that "He saved my life" that the world knew the story behind the story, of how a photojournalist saved a little girl's life.
