I have a million and a half photos of this Iconic photo on my PC, yet
this one stands out for several reasons. 1. It's one of the first
landscape pictures that I had made an effort to compose properly. It
was also a difficult shot to get, perched between a steep(ish) drop
off, and a rock, I had to take the shot without looking through the
viewfinder. 2. This is one of the few shots that I actually captured
what I wanted. 3. I just love the composition, you go from the little
flowers, to the trees, to the mountains, to the sky and clouds above.

I actually have a shot with him in focus, I'll post it for critique as well (for now it's in my portfolio), then I can do a compare and contrast. I just like the arty(ish) look of this picture. Thanks for the critiques guys, keep them coming!

These things are freaking evil, huge, loud, and insanely nasty I was
stupid enough to attempt to get macro photos of it, too scared to get
closer this was the biggest I could manage. I took several photos,
most are in perfect focus, however this "mistake", after some cropping
actually turned into my favorite from the shoot. I want to see what
you guys think.

Cool bird! Shot seems too ordinary for my tastes, has that, down the barrel look to it. Perhaps cropping out the left side of the picture would help.

Just walking through the zoo and saw this monkey hanging out on his
cage, so much emotion in that face, gotta wonder what he wants, is he
just looking at us wondering what we're doing? Yearning for a better
life? Or just being all cool becuase he knows he'll get attention by
doing this.

My first time ever doing long exposures, and I like the effect,
critiques and comments welcome!

Just a driving a long, and nearly ran into this oak grazing almost on
the road, got into position, and snapped some pictures.

My first attempt at a cropping to compose the subject well...don't
know how it turned out, but I think it's better then my first cropping
attempt which is in my portfolio.
Critiques welcome!...and don't worry he didn't' stay angry.

Curious little guy. Critiques welcome.

Just a little south of Longmont, CO, on 287 from the Eastern Plains,
looking west, at the Indian Peaks.

Only the second time out ever with a DSLR, and using mostly autosettings all day. The exposure is all wrong, but I actually think itturned out quite nice, as it gives an aesthetic appeal to the photothat I don't think would have occurred if it was properly exposed. Quite a nice accident.
Please comment and critique...but please don't take in account thefact that it was an accident, as I believe we all have those greataccidents now and then, if you think it's great.

Awesome picture, reminds me of Colorado, where we've had abundant snow this year. The upper right is a tad dark, but the reflection in the stream makes for a nice effect. The colors, to me, are overall a touch harsh, but I can't really complain, as it's great all around.

Thanks for looking. The above photo is of "Bobby" a land squirrel me
and my friend fell in love with, gave us quite a few interesting
poses, and an even better personality.

This image was taken at the Houston Museum of Natural History's butterfly
exhibit. There was no flash assistance with this image of any kind, it was
just a fairly bright area. I'm quite happy with it, but it is heavily cropped so composition suggestions would be very helpful. This is the best I could
come up with. Thanks for the suggestions or at least for looking.
