The picture hardly has no sharpening at all. Sharpening inside my camera is off, and I did a little (a real little) in the postprocessing. I am total amazed by the comment. Contrast in the early morning was low, with a littlebit fog in the distance.

Very nice capture. But i would have tried to make it a little bit wider. Colours and tone are perfect.

Flyer has been hit by streamers thrown by the girls on the right edge, just before the heaven-gate (left) in the background.

All part of the local carnaval with the motto; 'Vlieg d'ok mee', what means something like:'Are you also flying with us'. The call: 'Mayday, mayday' is the big succes, because in our flemish dialect mayday (pronounced exactly the same in 'meedee') means 'take part in'.

Yes more of the church. I tried, got around the church at different distances. This was the best I could do. Under left in de middle of the church is in fact the top of the entrance. Just could not find a spot with a better view (they were building a big appartement block left of it)
