<p>If you're using 16 bit tiffs, you should be using ProPhoto16 instead of Adobe RGB 1998 as your working space. As it is you're just throwing out all that color too soon.</p>

<p>I am ridiculously happy with the G10, and have put the 400D aside for a while. The advantages far outweigh what I give up for much of my shooting. I'm happy, for the moment, I put off the 5DII.<br>
Look at these images:<br>

<p>Tell me which one is from the G10 and which is from the XTi.<br>
I used the G10 and a 580II on a cord in my left hand, and it was entirely more pleasant than having it nested atop the XTi.</p>
<p>LOVE THIS CAMERA.</p>

Yes. Call Customer Service and they'll help you out.

Babette,
I'm sorry you had such a difficult time. Did you ever get the situation resolved?

Just make sure the box is still sealed.

You obviously need to clean your office more.

ACR is exactly the same in LR as it is in the ACR window. Exactly.
If you really want to use the ACR window (for old times sake) you can save your LR changes out to XMP, "Show in Finder" and open the
file manually in PS from there. I don't know why you would do that, but you can.

There are some issues with second monitor support in CS4. Check your monitor profiles and also try turning off Open GL.
-
There's also Lightroom, you know.

The only fatal mistake I see is using AdobeRGB for your TIFF export. Instead use ProPhoto 16 Bit, do as much editing in
Photoshop as you can, and sample down to 8 bit if and when you need to. Some filters only work in 8 bit so you might
have to go 8 bit to use them, but make that the LAST step in your process.

Not sure if it's mentioned above, but be sure to keep your working files off the boot drive. Must better to have them on
another volume. Also, having an empty volume or two for scratch disks helps a lot. Never set your boot disk as a scratch
disk if you don't have to.

"hmmmm....wonder if you can mount a 5d mkii on a steadycam? maybe they can make a mini one suited just for the dslr
vid cam option....that would be cool"<p>
I've been looking into the options. The cheapest one I've found is this:<br><a href=http://www.imagewest.tv/index.asp?

At under 500 bucks it's about the best you can expect. I've used a full-on Steadycam rig and they're amazing, but also
$10-14k.

Well, the obvious advantage would be that you can use LR with other kinds of Raw files. I don't use Canon's software for
that reason, but I'm also a huge Lightroom fan. I've never used NX2 so I can't speak to that.

Tough crowd!

I put one on my XTi and have never removed it. The camera feels insubstantial and unbalanced without it, and I have big
hands. I've shot a 5D with the grip and it feels perfect in my hand, but it's a personal choice. See if you can rent one from
your local pro shop and try it out.

BTW - it helps if you put what you're talking about in the title of your post. More folks will notice it in the list.

Well, you're not saving any money on Amazon by buying them together, so I think you should get the flash first and then
decide which diffuser you need. I have an EX II and I honestly don't know how it's different from the original. Personally, I use a

the bag a lot better.

That shape of the glass causes that, it has nothing to do with aperture.

Run the clean script first to make sure.
Then try copying the CD contents to the desktop and run the installer from there.

Agree with Ellis, this would be easy.
