Ive got both too and end up using the 24-70 more often on a 5D MK2. Ii all comes down to whether you need that one F-stop.

I've got both the 24-70 L and the 24-105 L both are amazing. I think it all depends what you want to do with them. I find the IS being the most valuable hand holding but if you have a tripod the 24-70 is sharper. If you want to do a lot of walking around it 24-105 saves your wrist from cramping up and your neck from the strap strain. What ever lens you get enjoy it to its fullest.

I'll second Torin on the Really Right Stuff... I just got the BH55 to go with my gitzo 3531 and it is rock solid holding
up th 70-200 2.8 IS.

I was hoping to be there and chat with them for the correct colour balance. I did look online but not sure who to go with as the final product will be a gift.

Hi All, I'm looking for a shop to print a 10MP image on canvas and maybe even frame it. This is anywhere in the DC-
Metro area. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The 70-200 IS USM 2.8 L is the best lens that I own. I pretty much use it all the time. The only down side is its weight. It is heavy. I also suggest the 1.4x extender instead of the 2x. The IS s definately worth it.

I think the 5D mark 2 is on most Christmas lists. The best option would be to go with the L lens that comes with the frame. You also shouldnt be disappointed with a prime 50mm 1.4

Does anyone have a clue when it will actually be on the shelves? Just curious...

Step 1. Photograph what you like, how you like it...
If you dont like the results repeat step 1.

Thanks Michael, that has got to be the coolest panoramic that I have seen in a long time.

Thanks guys and gals for making me feel so much fetter for the many mistakes that I make. THe nice thing about screwing up is that you rarely make the same mistake twice. Like checking your ISO after a night of shooting. I didnt get much results shooting at 1600 ISO during a lunchtime trip in Grenada.

Thanks for your help HLT was definately the problem.

Can someone help? Every time I try to manually select my ISO setting to 100 on my 40D it goes between Auto and
200. Is there something that I may be overlooking? Thanks in advance.
