Hey,

I just bought a new laptop and I need the Photoshop Elements 6 Add-On for opening Sony's ARW format. Does anyone have a link for the add-on?

Thanks,
Chris.

Nice pictures there wayne, I really like the first one although the sky seems a little overexposed. Otherwise the picture seems to be perfectly exposed.
No new shots from me :( been busy getting my website up and running lately in my spare time rather than being out shooting.

Thanks for the comments on my shots from all of you.
Richard, you are correct in saying I missed the DOF/focus on the actual water drops. I was rushed for time, it was a last second idea for a shot before we moved on from the area. Oh well, there'll be other times.

Well, yesturday I had quite the exciting day. My friend and I set off on a hike, also looking forward to getting some nice pictures, but had no idea we would find what we found. So we came to this brook running through the trail so we figured we would go bushwhacking for a bit and see if there was a small waterfall along the brook somewhere. Then we came to a waterfall, but one you don't want to stand at the top of. It was 400 feet tall (we found out later that day) and it was a sheer drop into a giant fiord. While we were standing at the top of it (pretty much peeing in our clothes) we spotted a lookout on the otherside of the fiord so we got back on the trail and went to the lookout and got some shots. Anyway I don't have any of the shots of that waterfall PP yet, but here's a few of the shots from yesturday.

Looks to me as if the colour wins. :-)

Very interesting Anthony. That bird is quite "freaky", wondering if any PP was done to make the bird look this way?

Thanks guys,
Seems as tho most would say the coloured would be the obvious choice. I'll wait for some more opinions.
Paul, Yes they are two very different landscapes in one panoramic because that's just Newfoundland for you :-)

Thanks Richard, I find that the skies are usually good as the sun is setting or after it has set. It also depends on what you want to achieve in your picture of course. That last shot you mentioned you liked was just before the sun completly set. I have a few more shots from that same evening, but they need processing.

Thanks for the Title suggestion Paul, I'll try to keep it in mind. I may just take your suggestion on holding back to softening of the driftwood. When I get some time I'll see what I can do. I really like that second shot of the bird there Paul. Quite an interesting capture, you always seem to get those bird shots at just the right second.

Here's a couple more from the past 2 weeks:

Yet Again, another great shot Richard. I really like the trail through the wheat/tall grass(or whatever it might be :P) It guides your eyes through the photo and leaves you looking at the treeline and the dramatic sky.

I just uploaded a recent shot to my portfolio,

I have some recent shots from the past few weeks, but I haven't gotten the chance to PP them yet, because I have final exams going on in school. But as soon as I get time I'll have them in PN. :-)
Anthony, Very nice shots. I don't think I've seen any of your work before?
Richard, I L O V E that first shot taken in the torrential rain.
