I wish I was there, not that I would do this better. Tebrikler!

Nice capture of light. Shadows... Been a while since I had been there...
-
nice thought and execution.

I think the warm colors on the right do not diminish the overall effect but rather gives a nice contrast with the rest. whether you crop it or not, it is a strong photo but I prefer as it is.

this is one heck of a photo, very interesting thought. congrats!

This one stands out in your folder. Very interesting approach to subject.

Seda, I think you made a bold attepmt to picture something tricky like this, thank you for sharing with us!
As the previous comment goes, such small bugs may work better on a picture if you have macro lens. Still, with your present equipment, you might have tried to approach that from a slightly different angle so that the bug would be seen on the side of the plant. And maybe, a different background (eg sky, if you shoot from down pointing upwards) would have worked better. Although you blurred the bakground nicely, it still does not provide adequate contrast with the subject.
Well, I'm not a pro photographer by no means (this is obvious if you look at my little folder) and I'm not trying to be discouraging here. Just thought writing something is better than not to!

Nicely composed portrait.

Liked that one, maybe moving a little bit to the right and down with the camera would have yielded a better composition. Did you bracket that shot? If so, what does a +1/2 or +1 exposure look like?
Anyway, I was not there and you were, nice job!

I liked this one a lot. Black and white works excellent here. A very strong composition of simple elements.

very pleasing shot overall, the flag in the middle adds a nice feeling to this still scene.

Tricky light and a pretty darn good shot! The person's reflection makes this what it is. Would like to do such a shot.

I find it quite interesting, although I agree that cropping might be a little too much. I also agree that there are stronger works in this folder but this one is chosen by this group of elves, right? I don't think choosing POW is a very very objective thing, unless the picture has some very obvious weaknesses. Nor it is supposed to be.
As for the point Eren brings, I do not agree that any picture should be considered strong just because it has people in it. He might not have much interest in nature, sports, etc. but there are others who have. I think they are doing a fair job in keeping the variety of subjects.
What about the idea of choosing different POW's like street POW, nauture POW, etc??? Not that many elves?

I think this is one of the best in your portfolio. All of them are good, most of them inspiring!

This is a brilliant shot, IMHO. Reading all those comments, especially the ones questioning the choice of this picture as POW, I really cannot see anything mediocre about this work. Nice thought and an "off-the-beaten-path" execution of it.
Also, I strongly prefer the original over various versions done by several viewers. Although they represent their appreciation of the work, they do not improve anything by changing the location of the frog or by cropping.
As always, it comes to personal preference.
