I like the way you frame your portraits. Just part of the face, the hair, the shoulder. Good lighting techniques.

I agree. Cropping out the large tree would throw it out of balance. I like the trees. It's as if you are looking through a window within the woods. As for the movement of the arms... I like the blur, also. Everything else is so still. The blur shows the action of the jump. The attempt to stay airborne.

Snapped this one off while the kids had their first Super Soaker
fight of the season.

Captured this shot while I was covering a youth mud bowl event fot
the local paper. The picture was taken just before this kid was to
get hosed down after the mud bowl. He looked up at the camera just
as I shot the picture. I was particularly drawn to his eyes. The
image was sharpened up a bit in Jasc Paint Shop Pro, to bring out the
eyes.
