This is a good "image" but hardly a photograph. I'm with the one or two other contributors who feel that Photo of the Week should be about genuine, honest images and not fantasy files that emerge from Photoshop.
The "shaft of sunlight", for example, has been created by the manipulator, no doubt the mist has found its way into the picture by the same route. I can't tell for sure but the jetty looks like it may have come from another file, the birds, too. Everything is fake about it - right down to the "shadow" under the bench.
Images like this make HDR look like black and white documentary work. They're the digital equivalent of those fairy pictures that spiritualists produced in the early 20th century.
