  1. If there is no way to avoid being in the mid-day sun on this shoot...use the elements you have. Adjust the ratio between the Sun and the flash so you have a 2-1 ratio. The Hair is brighter than the faces, a hair light, and shoot with a faster shutter speed to darken the Background. It's worked for me. Also, if you do this, you can have a little more control when editing them image.
  2. If you are a member of NPS...and you should be...Send it to them and have it back is a few days...not weeks and it will be like NEW!! My D300 landed in a creek and 6 days later...Done!! Like new and works great...they even cleaned the sensor. Shipping and all was @ 200.00 . Some thoughts..

  3. Sorry I can't spell today. The bottom line...understand how film works and your digital will go far beyond what you've ever expected it would. I use both and love both for the job at hand.
  4. Dustin, I will not be as long winded as many others here. I wanted to say, get some major experience behind you before taking a supposed one time event into your hands. A Wedding, like any professional project is very important, not only to you but to your client. As far as pricing, I believe you have to grow into what you are worth to your client...it's called "Precieved Value". This is created, not by bells and whistles, but rather, Quality and Experience and the work to back it up. Being a Great Photographer is just part of the solution...you have to be able to SELL IT. Good Luck and start slow.
