I like the atmosphere captured with the firm silhouette of the tree against the misty background. The reeds in the f/g give a lovely touch of texture and colour.

This is shot is taken from almost the same spot as one taken in
December. The Arenigs and surrounding area is one of my favourite
locations. I particularly like capturing the same scene at different
times of the year.

Good viewpoint with the eye going to the boathouse then following the contour of the hill to the light on the background mountain. Excellent shot Alf

Many thanks for your thoughts, I will go back and look at some of the other shots to see if they could fulfill some of your suggestions.
Thanks again for the feedback, very much appreciated.

Two excellent versions, I have no preference as I love both. One of my favourite locations which looks amazing in the winter. I like the contrast between the water with the stones showing through and the coldness of the mountain covered in snow. John

A return to a favourite location and a shot of the cottage at Amnodd
Pwll at the base of Arenig Fawr. This was taken from a similar spot as
I took in October and it was fascinating to see the difference the
seasons make of the landscape.

An iconic view of the tree on the limestone pavement with the mono giving it that timeless feeling.
A very Happy New Year and keep up the good work. John -
Very well observed and excellent mono conversion. You would think Liverpool City Council would do something about the weeds around the edge.
All the best for Christmas and the New Year.

A really good mono shot with the eye looking down the avenue. The figure in the distance helps to give added interest and a sense of scale

Quite a different view of Idwal with lovely clarity and reflections in the water and with great views of the Idwal Slabs, Y Cribin and Tryfan. The mono gives it that timeless feeling. Excellent work.

Great treatment, full of mystery and atmosphere. Works beautifully in B&W.

A cold, wet and misty day on Nant Bochlwyd on our way via the Nameless
Cwm to Glyder Fawr. We must have been mad ! Even so, the scenery was
wonderful with the stream and the tree growing out of the rock. We
eventually got down in the dark, not to be repeated ever again !

A lovely shot taken in God's own country ! I like the B&W to portray the starkness and ruggedness of the terrain.

Excellent detail with superb dof to concentrate the eye on the animal. Very well composed.

I've not been around lately so making up for lost time. Excellent serene landscape with good f/g interest and reflections. BTW, you are a long way from home !!

Works superbly in black and white. I like the contrast of the squrare patterns against the blurry sky.

Lovely moody seascape with great focus on the rock and starfish.
