You cant increase the resolution of one photo but when it comes to more than one http://www.photoacute.com/index.html

One quick suggestion. If you bracket, get one shot of the lighthouse, and one of the light, than you can combine them in Photoshop and get a very cool picture of the lighthouse without the light over powering the picture.

It depends of how much you are willing to pay, and what you would use your computer for besides pictures.
If you are mostly going to be doing picture editing you dont really need a quad core. But if you are going to be doing a lot of HD video editing and are willing to pay the money goahed and get a quad core.
I have an X9650 quad core and do a lot of advance work in Adobe After Effects CS3.

I currently have a Nikon d80 with 18-200 and 50mm 1.8 and I am looking at an
upgrade in the ner feucher but I just cant dside what I should upgrade to and
was hoping for some advice.
I have bin considering the Nikon AF-S Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED I do a lot of
micro work and the 18-200 just wont get me as close as I need it to.
But my only tripod is one of the cheapest things you have ever seen and I have
bin considering upgrading to Induro Carbonflex 8X CX114 tripod with Markins
Q-Ball Q3 Emille ball head. I like to travel light and I dont know how ofine I
would use it even if I had a good tripod.
Tell me what you think about my video.
