    Thanks for you comment. Regarding the colors. The picture was taken after the sunset. Therefore, the sun rays were not emphasis the colors of the buildings anymore. You might want to compare it with another picture in this set taken before the sunset. The solf evening light made colors much more vivid, however, my intention was to make the surface of the sea flat with the graduated filter. Only after the sunset I could use the exposures long enough to achiebie this result.

    Concerning the composition. I tried to take the buildings and the pier as together as a one subject. In yoy though of the subject in this way, you would find out that the composition is perfectly balanced. Of course one may argue that the empty space on the upper right is dull. but the light cloudy sky to some extent fills this empty space. Regards.
