By this occasion I downloaded the dng converter and made my first LX3 raw s in acr and I like it. I prefer to do this way then using silkypix. Pictures are also better then straight out of the camera jpg anyway.

The weekend was beter with a nice kayak trip in Germany but on the kayak I use only my LX3 for ease and safety so my picture from close on the waterline are very nice but not oly gear so no pictures from me this friday!

I have the LX3 and also the E510 They are complementary, you can't take a ps if you need a reflex. I like the lx3 wide lens but if I need the 150mm lens!

Looks nice but if I stay with olympus I will buy the E 620 It will give the same quality image!

-

I thought it was the anti dust system! But the sound is normal!

-

I also bought the LX3 in December and since that moment I haven't used my dslr Oly 510 and a surplus the flash fl 36 from Olympus works perfectly with the LX3!
So don't blame my Lx3! There are also LX3 pictures in my portfolio!
When I was talking about a faster nikon I talked about fast focusing. I did use once on a wedding the
Oly E510 and a Nikon D60 (I did lend it) with kitlens and I was symply surprised and felt ridiculous with
my Oly. It was like nothing did stop me taking pictures with the Nikon. I did miss so many pictures due
to the slow focussing of the E510. So I think I can test quiet soon the D90 and in my head It will be my
next camera. I did like the Oly and I will keep it also but indoors it is not a winner.

I have the same combo for the moment E510 and kit lenses!
The light is indeed more important for picture quality. Before buying more expensive lenses for the Oly
I'm considering buying the Nikon D90 and a good lens instead The Nikon is so much faster I did mis
lots of pictures with the Oly indoors, to catch a nice face you have to be fast they don't wait and they
will descover you are only an amatuer! (joke). If you want to improve picture quality you will at least
need the E30 also!

I got the same problem indoors with the E510 and kitlenses. But I got once a Nikon D60 in my hand in
the same environiment and it was so stunning fast that I also am considering to buy a Nikon D90 to
replace my Oly. Before buying more expensive lenses for the Olympus. Also the good results in higher
iso are atractive! The Oly coud stay a good travel camera! I think I can have a test camera some day.

I'm a amateur but could do al lot of party's and special events with my Oly E510 + kitlenses fl 36 flash
but th focusing speed is to low to be comfortable in low light conditions. I did test a Nikon reflex and I
felt blow away by it's focusing speed! I lost pictures because of the slow focusing and a more powerful
flash if it is for a more important jobs.
But I am still happy with the oly and I can make quit nice pictures even with the kitlenses.
just have a look at my pictures here on Photo.net

I did try to make a pinhole to put in front of my oly e510 and with the above info I understand the problem better. The results where not spectacular and I am also waiting for the micro 4/3 wich will be on the market january 2009.

I am also a happy E510 user and I would like to try thos semipro lenses but I think it is goind to be to addictive!
I never found a good article on resizing pictures for internet and I will be interested. For thrmoment I use the free resize tool from digital BD sizer 2.2.4
