1.
About two weeks ago my 1.4 50 mm fell on the floor and now it´s at canon service- estimated time for repair 3-4 weeks, I lost my 85 mm 1.8 one week ago- bad luck. And now I try to buy new lenses here in Germany and it seems to be so that canon is not really interested in to sell things. 24-70 L at the time not available, 85 mm 1.8 not before 6-8 weeks like also the 100 mm F2.0. It´s a german canon problem or is this worldwide?
I ordered now the Zeiss planar 85 mm...
2.
At the time I own a 40D and this lenses EFS 10-22, EFS 17-55, EF 50 1.4 and EF 85 1.8. I do portraiture and nude art and I´m still and will be forever an amateur. I´m not really glad with the AF system of the 40 D at night and I´m also not really glad with images done with high iso so on I think about to buy a new camera body.
First option: 5D MK II and the 24-70 L and maybe the100mm F2.0- I don´t need the video function, but I hope the new sensor does it better with high iso.
Second option: 1Ds Mark III and the 24-70 L and maybe the100mm F2.0- I dream of the AF system and the weather sealed body.
I have the money for the second option but I fear I will buy this camera body and in a few months there is a Mark IV - this happened the time I bought the 40D- two months later there was the 50D. I would glad to hear some thoughs about my ideas and about the probability there is a mark IV this year. Thanks in advance.

  3. I am just an amateur. To do shots in a studio means for me to rent one. Nearly all no all rental studio nearby

have only these for some shots boring black or white backgrounds. And changing the background in photoshop with a

more textured is at one point a lot of work and for my eyes you can see it most time, probably I´m an idiot not

to use ps and his masks right but I question first myself and now you- has anyone experience to make a more

interesting background by lighting it with textures or pictures from a beamer or a slide projector?

And if anyone has this experience. Is there a book or a web link that explains how to do- or is it so

uncomplicated no further explanation is required?

    Thanks for your time.

  4. This saturday I have an outside foto session (Fashion) with two female models of very different height, one 1,76

m the other 1,96m. Has anyone a good suggestion that it does not look totally strange? I think one is sitting is

a possible solution but I can´t take all photos with one person sitting. Thanks for your answers.
