I did it by exposing the paper normally, then when the paper was almost fully developed I flipped the light on for about 4 seconds then back off again, and developed the remaining time. Trial and Error with timing until I got a good turnout.

Any thoughts on this one? Done entirely analog, no photoshop.

I tried to capture the excitement of chess here, just kidding :)
What do you think? Something to look at, or too boring? I lost some of
the shadow detail during the scan, the black pieces look better on the
print. Other than that is the lighting ok? I'm new to printing and
studio style photography, although I have nothing close to studio
equipment, I took this with a couple of cheap halogen lamps. Any
comments/critisim welcome. Thanks for your help.

I took this shot vertically toward the ground. Decent shot of fall
leaves or is it too two demensional and/or too cluttered?

Did I capture enough with this picture, or should I have done
something differently to make it better? Or is it just an overdone
scenery theme?

My main question has to do with the depth of field for this picture.
Would it have been better if everything was in focus, or if it was
even more limited. Also in terms of composition is the page of the
book on the left too distracting because of its sharper focus than the
page on the right.
