I currently own 70-200 2.8 and a 100-400 is And am considering replacing these two with the new 70-200 2.8 is and upgrading my 2x converters also.
Has any one seen a report on this new lens using the new 2x converter.

I have owned both the 28-70 2.8 and the 28-135is and now have just
the 28-70 2.8, If I need more focal lenght I switch to my 70-200 2.8
I have found this combination more than sufficiant. Now add a 100-
400is to your arsenal and you will have three great lenses to work
with.

I also found this to be a problem. Until I found a filter thin enough to work. Try a Tiffen 81a-b-etc. It works for me. I tried others and found them to be too thick. Just remove the old filter and screw in the new.

Was at Myakka last week. Go early stay late. I would suggest taking the air boat if you want to shoot(not kill) Gators. I carried a Canon 100-400is and a few rolls of Provia 100F. Venice was busy, get there early, very good light at sunrise. Don't forget the Eagles on Pine Island. Enjoy...............

FWIW Kirk no longer has the snap collar available. I tried to purchase one recently.
Gratuitous completely unnecessary "post a pet photo" thread...
