I just bought a 180mm lens for my rb. The mirror lockup has a red dot with a n beside it. The other direction has a yellow
dot with a m beside it. Is it the same as my 90mm ? It has a red dot and the other direction has a yellow dot that says
mirror up. Please advise.

I know the mamiya rb67 had three models. the pro, the pro s , and the pro sd. what year was the pro made ?

I use a Pentax 645. I like the built in motor drive and the price. The lenes are also very inexpensive. Check
out e bay. JB

This is just my opinon. The aluminum is thicker on the shenhao. Also, the nuts that hold every thing down
have nylon locks so they won't come off. On both of my Tachiharas, the nuts are flimisy, and they fall off.
It just seems to be the best buy in that price range. Good luck. JB

I have owned two Tachaharas . They look nice, but are not very strong. I bought a Shenhao model
TZ45-2B . It is the black walnut model with aluminum hardware. Its heaver than the Tacaharas, but built
twice as good. Plus it has a grafloc back. They are also hand made. I paid 645.00 from badger grafic sales
Check out there web site at badgergrafic.com. You wont be sorry.

Some one fill me in. I have been a 4x5 shooter for 20 years. I shoot at F45 or F64. I never use a loupe.
All my pictures are in focus. i enlarge up to 40x36 with no problems. Am i missing something ?

You might try Wisner view camera or Badger grafic sales. www.badgergraphic.com

I have a Pentax 645 system. I love mine. They are also inexpensive to obtain. Look on ebay. MF is so different because it depends on what you are going to shoot. I dont like 6x6 format because it is to square for me. But if you shoot weddings, its a great format. i shoot landscapes so i like a rectangle format. I have my negs scanned at a local photo shop, take them home and print them out on my 13x19 hp printer and there great. I wish you good luck. john

I own the TZ. For the money, its the nicest view camera i have owned. I have had two Tachaharas and they do not even compare to it. My is black walnut and it is beautiful.

Does anyone know what the enternal battery life is on a pentax 645 ? I am not talking about the grip batterys.

-

I have had great luck on e bay. Also have had good luck with Midwest Photo Exchange. Ask for Jim

The rear lenes should unscrew. There is a nut that holds the lenesboard on the rear. Thats the lenes you want to remove. If it is an older shutter, Focus is done in the t mode. (Compur)

I would meter the far left, then meter the right, and then average the two readings.

On my view camera, the plastic lens is the Fresnel. It is installed first because they scratch very easily. The ground glass is installed on top of the Fresnel to protect it. JB

I agree with Armin. I buy as much fuji quickloads on ebay as possible. Also, B&H photo has a good stock but pricey. Good Luck.

Thank you for all of your advise. jb
Do any of you nature photographers shoot both 35mm and 4x5?

I think now is the time to get into 4x5. The cameras are cheap. A wisner 4x5 a couple of years ago was 2500.00. On ebay today, they are 750.00. Film is going to be available for a long time
Fuji says they are in this for the long run. The drawback is the film is expensive, and the developing is getting more expensive.
I also love medium format. 6x7 is a great format, and the cameras are getting cheap.

I still shoot both and can't give up either, so good luck !
