1.
I need to buy a calibrator but I cannot afford to buy a $300 one right now. I found one for $80 bucks... Has anyone used a Pantone Huey Monitor Color Calibrator ?
If so what did you like it?
Did it do the job?

IF not what is a good affordable brand to buy?

Thank you very much

  2. I have never done this before... I have actualy been reading about it and trying to learn for the last 3 weeks only... By what you said it looked awful even though it was my first work ever trying to retouch a picture... But thank you very much for all the pointers...
  3. This picture was my first retouch ever done... I have been teaching myself

Photoshop and everything else and I would really appreciate if you guys comment

on it and tell me what needs to be improved...

    Thanks everyone.
00PYEZ-44597584.thumb.jpg.0a63b9e0271c5966ef94d1c29281d15a.jpg

  4. I have tried a different memory card. Now that I think about it this problem never happened when I was not using the SB-800 flash. Somehow the flash is making my camera go crazy. I am going to have my flash replaced and see if the problem happens again. I also updated the firmware to the 1.02.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

  5. Did you figure out what is going on with yout camera? I am having the same exact problem and I also use SB-800 and I have a Extreme III card. My camera is only 3 months old and my flash is only 1 week old.

Do you think I should send it back to Nikon or is there something else I can do?

  6. When I push the play button to see my pictures the picture appears but when I try

to go back and forth to see the other pictures the display just freezes. It has

happened about 70 % of the time. The majority of the time I have to turn the

camera off and on so it can start working again. Has anyone had this problem and

if yes do you know what it is?

  7. I should've said this before because it might make a difference or not... I have a 18mm-50 f/3.5-5.6. Do you think that having this lens already it is a good thing buying the 50 mm 1.4 or 1.8? or it would not be a big of difference?Thank you so much for all the help
  8. I live in Salt Lake City Utah and purchased a Nikon D300 a few months ago. I

have always been passionate about photography and I would like to pursue it

now. I have been teaching myself photoshop, lightroom, Nikon Capture NX and I

have been reading many books about photography.

I have been wanting to work as an assistant with a photographer to get

experience and learn more about the techniques.

Does anyone know where I could find photographers who need assistants?

I have asked a few photographers (by email) if they would accept me as an

assistant (free of charge) but they never even responded.

    Thank you very much.
