Hi,
I just bought a Sony A100. I like the camera. I work with large format (4x5"), and I wanted a good dslr to help
me metering and previewing images (since polaroid films are becoming rare and expensive).
I've been using it for about 4 days, and I noticed something very strange.
The lens came with a circular polarizing filter. I liked it. But I just cant take it off! I rotate the filter,
and it wont come out! It keeps spinning, spinning, and i can not remove it!
Can someone help me with this stupid problem?
Im sure I'm being an idiot, but I call for help 'cause i cant figure out what's happening
Thank you

Hi,
Im new in LF. Im an artist, I used to work with sculpture, and now im interesting in photograph. So Im not a very
experienced photographer and I went to LF because I wanted really sharp, big prints. I´ve taken a few shootings, to
practice with camera movements, specially tilt and swing on the lens panel. But wen I tried to make my first "real"
picture I had a problem. Its probably stupid, as all of us beginers say, but here it goes:
I´m photographing a few objects on the floor- trash, actually- and I wanted to simulate a 35mm hand shooting with a
4x5 Plaubel on a tripod. So I inclined it about 30 degrees foward and about 35 degrees to the left. So is hard for me
to decide if I should use tilt, swing or both in order to get everything in focus. Exemples in book show only 1
movement aplications at a time, and I dont know how to deal with this bizarre focusing plane.
Any suggestions?

Hi, I have the opportunity to buy a LF camera to shoot in the studio and outside,
for potrait, still life, landscape. One is a Sinar f2, the other is a Toyo 45gx (Im not
sure if its a 45gx or a 45gII).
They are all about the same price. What would you guys suggest?
Thank you

Hi, im begining in the LF and I got a Plaubel Peco Profia.
I mesured the size of my lensboard hole: 55mm diameter. What size is this? Its not a Copal size,
as far as I can tell. Can anyone help me? "Its probably a stupid question" as all beginers say, but I
can't buy any new lenses if i dont know the reference of my lensboard hole.
Thank you all

Look for information on Phase One p45 back. Its very expensive, but it sure has its
advantages. And it is aompatible with 4x5 cameras. The first is a link to phase one site,
and the second is a link to a review. The third is a link to another very objective review,
wich compares 4x5 films and digital backs
You refered to 30 secs shots. Those are not digital backs, so I've read. Those are digital
scanners, that send information directly from your camera to a computer, wihout a
memory card.
Good luck

I think this ios a good basic review. It helped me a lot

Hi Peter,
Yeah, I feel so stupid! I noticed that the same day, but i just couldn't remove it. The rubber sheet hint worked fine for me.
Working with film cameras, I was much more used to work with linear polarizer
Thank you for your help
