Why Capture
in Nikon
"Worth" is your choice. It is only $100.
If you shoot RAW, it is a very powerful, but slow and a little buggy, RAW converter. It gives better "quality" than Adobe Camera Raw and in camera JPG, but at the cost of less convenience. If your time is money, don't use it.
If you don't shoot RAW, then it is not much use to you, apart from what the other responders have said.

I bought an Epson P-2000. It supports RAW formats from several manufacturers as well as the major video formats, has a great screen. As a photo storage device, it is way superior to the Ipod.
It also has very good battery life. As a test, I transferred 4 full 2GB cards to it. Takes about 15 minutes per 2GB card. I got bored before it showed any signs of battery depletion, and 8 GB per day is more than I am likely to use. It can also use spare batteries.

D70 vs D100
in Nikon
D100 has a pentaprism. D70 has mirrors. D100 viewfinder image is bigger and brighter. D70 appears to have better metering. -
I have the Sigma 12-24.

OTOH, I had a 28mm f1.8 Sigma that was awful.

I must point out that Peter is clearly jesting regarding the Olympus. Any camera will produce the effect he is talking about. This effect is called "perspective",

Avoid the Sigma 28mm F1.8. I have one. Mine is awful. I use the 35mm F/2 or the 24mm f/2.8

I use the Delkin eFilm. Works fine, so far, but battery life very limited. I can only get a couple of 1MB transfers before it looks real low.
It reported a bad transfer once, but recovered itself.
The TV slide show feature can be handy for low res viewing of the take.

I have an Aires Reflex, with Coral lens. It was my first "real" camera, ca 1956! It still works -- but I do not use it regularly. I still have the original box.
