Fluorescent lighting strips in Casual Photo Conversations Posted May 3, 2008 Hi - I really want to use Fluorescent strip Lighting (like the Kino Flo) but I just can't afford it now. Is there any way i can just buy the long bulbs and the contacts, wire them together and case them in a BARNDOOR style wrap-around - using some plastic composite and a few bits of velcro. I think i actually saw this in a couple of big studios. All and any DIY suggestions welcome - please no alternative suggestions to lighting source. Also, I am guessing i'd need some transistor or something toregulate the 220V coming in from the plug into the bulbs. Regards
