In three years you will able to buy at least six of them for today's price.

Anything besides Canon??

What are the smallest cameras that use compact flash cards?
Thanks

Does anyone know of any nice landscape summer photo ops in the
Laurentians or the Mount Tremblant area?

Does the appearance on the scene now of the new Epson digital
rangefinder camera mean that the use of Leica M lenses will offer a
quality advantage over other digital cameras at that price level?
(Whatever that price level is.)
Thanks

I don't have the link, but I would like to see it myself. I know that Sony is trying to cover up the problem. I spoke to Sony on the phone yesterday and the rep read me the standard response, but let slip an order to downplay the problem when discussing the issue.

I recently read that Sony acknowledges their lens problems on the new
F828. Does anyone know if they have corrected the problem? Is
the "improved" version available for purchase? Thanks

It seems to me that these are two similar cameras in many ways. Does
one stand out above the other in performance?
Thanks

It is a Pentium 4 computer running Windows XP.
I bought it February, 2002.

I have a Dell Dimension 4400 desktop computer. When I attached my new
Lexar media card reader to it, I got a message that the new Lexar
device is a high-speed device, but the computer does not have a high-
speed USB port. So the transfer is done at slow speed. Is there
something I can do to my computer ports to take advantage of the high-
speed card reader I have?
Thanks,
Jack

Is it necessarily so, because of the sensor size, that the Sony F-828
or Minolta Dimage A1 will provide more noise at higher ASA's than a
digital SLR, such as the new Canon Digital Rebel?

I recently saw, online, a comparison of three Canon zoom lenses (24-85mm, 28-? and one other). I am unable to locate that site now. Does anyone have the address to it?
Thanks,
Jack

I note that there is a lack of flash exposure compensation on the
Canon Digital Rebel. I am new to digital photography. How would you
shoot an outdoor picture in which you desire a "bit" of fill flash
and yet maintain the ambient surrounding exposure?
Thanks,
Jack

Asim, let's consider even the "L" lenses.
What is the size and weight difference between the 17-40/4L and the 24-70L lenses? For general family pictures and vacation shots which would be a better all-purpose lens?
Thanks

If one desired to only own one lens for the new Canon Digital Rebel
which lens would that be? I am asking in order to achieve a higher
level of lens quality than the optional lens supplied with the camera.
Thanks,
Jack

I am having trouble deciding between a Canon Rebel or a Minolta
Dimage A1. I have a Mamiya 7II that I use for my fine landscape work.
This digital purchase would be for grab shots, vacations and family
pictures. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jack

Maureen,
Do you happen to know how the image sensor size of the Minolta Dimage A1 compares to the Rebel and the Sony that you mentioned?
Thanks,
Jack

Has anyone had any experiences with the new Minolta Dimage A1? The
price has recently dropped since the introduction of the digital
Rebel.
Thanks,
Jack

<Howard, how would an M7P differ from an M7?>
Rob, how about a price tag of $2995?

Help, I feel WOOZY.

Marc,
When I was out west last summer, I had my film shipped via FEDEX Ground service back home to Michigan. UPS or FEDEX ground is inexpensive and takes about 3-4 days from Vegas back to Michigan.
Have a nice trip!

Ray,
did you take that picture at the Fred Mertz convention?

DSLR Viewfinders
in Mirrorless Digital Cameras

Is there a significant difference in viewfinders among the entry-
level DSLRs?
I am asking about things such as, brightness, eyepoint (for eyeglass
wearers), clarity, accuracy, grids, etc.........
Thanks in advance.
