In the early 90s I was given an OM4. Dark, sinister and a devourer of batteries. Like a model girlfriend, high maintenance! We've been together, on and off ever since. Then her older sister arrived on the scene 4years ago. Silver haired OM1n was a breath of fresh air. After a prism clean and a MR-9 battery conversion she is strutting her stuff. Tall, shiny and her dials standing proudly erect, a lightweight beauty that fits your hand like memory foam and always delivers. I'm torn between sisters.

When the unlocking button is depressed, should the dial rotate freely or click on each advance?
Thanks!

I've never touched the diopter knob before, tried adjusting it (fiddly as it is) but it doesn't correct the problem.
With the camera to the eye the viewfinder is clear, but move the camera as little as 1-2mm and the view is blurred. This does not happen with the OM-1.

Hi,
Only after comparing the viewfinder of an OM-1,my OM-4's viewfinder is blurred unless your eye is centrally located.
In the many years I've owned this camera, this is the first time I have noticed this.
Any ideas?

Regards,
