My guess is "Lensbabie" accessory available for 35mm and medium format. It achieves ultra-minimum depth of field.

Mine was ordered this past April and Hugo told me I would receive it in August. I would imagine yours should be
in the July shipment. Enjoy!

This news hit me like a ton of bricks! I hope that Kodak doesn't think its readyload
customers will settle for buying the film in sheets and loading film holders. I am
more than willing to pay the premium price for readyloads not just for the
convenience
but the reduced weight and volume while hiking about with my camera. My business
will go to Fuji first!! I think all photographers in the same situation would be happy
to
continue their business with Fuji in this regard. Actually the Fuji Quickloads are
compatible with the Kodak Readyload back as well. Sometimes I feel that the top
level
Kodak management (ex HP) would just like to wash their hands of the film business
altogether.

I bought a used Imacon Precision 2 scanner a couple years ago. With the proper (120mm
x 172mm) film holder it will scan the exposed area of a 5x7 sheet of film I believe @
1500dpi. The newer Imacons for some reason will only do 4x5. If you are willing to shell
out a couple grand and are patient you can find a used Precision 2 on E-bay.

I love wide angle myself. That becomes an issue with such a small format.
It reminds me of the old "glass half empty or half full scenario. In this case
the 4x5 camera is TOO big for the sensor!!

Darryl,
The 90mm lens is a relatively short focal length. To focus at infinity
your bellows must be compressed quite a bit. I have the same lens myself. Although the f5.6 lens is faster than the f/8 version you will notice brighter imagery in the center of your ground glass with light
falling off at the corners. I find that to view the image in the corners I must move my head considerably. I'm hoping the problem is as simple as this.
good luck,
Walter

Thanks everyone!

David,
I have the Fujinon A240. It is an Apochromatic lens design which is very compact and
has tremendous coverage. The 240 will cover 8"x10"!
The only drawback is the lens speed. Wide open @ f/9. I have not found that to be
a problem though. They also made a 180A f/9, 300A f/9 and a 360A f/10 all with Copal #0
shutters except the 360 which uses a copal #1 shutter.

I'm told that the 45N-1 Chamonix camera uses a Linhoff/Technika lensboard.
Could anyone tell me the thickness of the board?
thanks,
Walter

Does anyone know if the 45N-1 lensboards are also used on any of
the other Chamonix cameras? I'm hoping the new 5x7 will use the same board.
Thanks.
