I have an opportunity to buy an Leica CL / Minolta CL body at a good price. It

would be my first foray into the Leica universe and I was wondering what my lens

brand options are - if that's not too blasphemous a thing to say?

Budgeting up to $300 and hoping to find a decent wide-angle

I've moved to digital (Canon 20D) from film (Nikon EM) and want to cover the

following 35mm focal lengths

75-150mm and 28-50mm

For the first, I'm settling on the Canon 28-105mm F3.5 II zoom but I'm still

looking to cover my bottom (so to speak).

I'm looking at the:

Canon EF 20mm f/2.8

Canon EF 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 and of course ye poor-man's "L"

Canon 17-40mm f/4

I'd look at Tamron if you can convince me it's worth it.

Oh, yes, most of the time I'm either on the road or in the bush so we're talking

street / landscape shooting. I already have a 50mm F/1.8 for low light /

portrait work.
