  1. I thought that too!!!, I just did?t want to move the lens because of the hide or scare in anyway the female... when in doubt I just don?t. While nesting I always think about my son, he spent around 15 days in intensive care after he was born, he is ok now, but makes me think that If I scare the female it may abandon the nest and the youngs will be helpless and will starve to death...it?s not worth it!

Great composition!!! the reflections in the water bothers me a little bit, it would be better (IMHO) to use a polarizer filter or try again in a different hour. Best regards.

Que buena foto Roberto, siempre me ha gustado la idea de ver este "egret" con su "cattle" en una foto. Cada vez muestras mas conocimiento de tus sujetos, quizas un crop favoreceria mas esta imagen.- My two cents!
  2. This is a very common and abundant hummingbird. They feed, perches and nest at low to mid-levels. I was lucky to find this nest at low level with a good place for me to hide a little bit above the nest without disturbing them and the surroundings and a great background. I took this one with a 600mm lens + 1.4 Extender and natural light. I hope this answers your questions and thank you again for your kind comments!
