I wouldnt even think about shooting a wedding without having a backup. If you are asisting then this is OK. But to shoot the whole wedding, even for free is risky. Get at least 2 4 gig cards and a good flash
if you plan on doing this professionally, get a second camera, lens and flash

I heard RED offers no support for their cameras. What good is that

Me too, my Canonet kicks butt. Paid 100 for it and had it brought to factory spec for another 100. All my b/w are shot with that camera. I have had it for 5 years

Thanks all for contributing. This is a real gas. I didnt see the humor in it until now. I actually though it was a cool thing.

Well being that there are some additional holy sites in the background leads me to look a little deeper into it

Could be Jesus in a semi profile.

Weird thing is there is a church on the corner about a block away and a convent in front. I never saw the bird flying by. What are the odds?

Could be Jesus too but we definitly see an shape.

I was testing a lens in front of my house. on the left side of the frame is an old foster home where nuns still reside, in
the right corner is a church. One day I showed my sister-in-law the photo and she noticed a bird flying by that I just
happen to capture. Upon further viewing we noticed an image in the wing. To us it looks like the virgin mother. I will

The 17-40 F4 is a great lens. I have it always on my 40D body. I use the 70-200 F4 on the 30D body. You cant go wrong with either lens. The IS is good to have but I think if your steady it should be fine. Get the 17-40, its an awesome len.

I just bought the 40D for weddings and now have the 40D and 30D as a back up. Next year I will by the 5D. Start with the 40D just to get your feet wet. Its a great camera yelding great results with a good lens. By a good lens, you'll be able to use it on any Canon body

Try adding layers of various contrasts and or colors in photoshop and then lower the opacity to bring in the desired color and contrast
