I would have to agree with Rob, maybe you should give microstock a try. At least to start out and see how things go. I think a lot of people dismiss the idea because of the low payout per image, but typically a person gets lots of sales. It is also an easy way to get an idea of potential problems with images and what works and doesn't.

Just remember that a polarizer have much affect a certain angles. They work the best at a 90 degree angle from the sun and as you go more or less from this the affect decreases.

Well put! There are definitely disadvantages to microstock, as mentioned above, and one needs to weigh those in.
For me, I do submit to microstock sites, but just as a hobby. Helps me pay for equipment and I have fun doing it. I totally agree that if I was interested in making it full time or nearly so I would look more at traditional stock.
