I think you could try try Chinon auto 50mm f1,4
I have one (on a K100D), this lens is very good constructed (a little bit heavy) and optically it seems to be as well as pentax SMC.

Hi Scott !
I've got the Pentax F28mm/f2,8 on a IST DS and its work very well (fast autofocus, sharp pictures, and great colors). Its a good allround lens which becomes standard focus with the DS. If you can find one, take it !
