    Haulin' Blues

          3

I took this photo last saturday at the farmers market, this guy was

walking around with this box of apples on his shoulder. I thought he

    was an interesting charater

  1. It's these photos that always make me want to travel. Sometimes I don't feel my city has enough to offer when it comes to street photography. This makes me envious. The man in the forground has this "you see what happens" look on his face that totally makes this photo work...kudos

    Telling Stories

Those kids are considering making their break... They think you distracted the old woman long enough for them to escape her ramblings...I love it, some how i could tell it was shot with an M6 wich makes me want one even more.

For some reason i always take photos of bikes...I dunno there's just something about them. This one is very well done, i like the juxtoposition...I bet the kid on the sled tricked his buddy with the bike into towing him.

I have a Yashica mat (same thing as your Rolleiflex. Its impressive to be able to fire the shutter at the exact moment. And you only get 12 tries to make it right...
  2. I have noticed that with a lot of my street photography that I need way less depth of field. I have been shooting a lot recently with my 50mm 1.8 wide open and really like the results. It becomes a 75mm on the D70 and I like the tightness and shallow DOF it gives. I noticed you used a canon PowerShot, I have one of those too, the results are awesome except that everything from about 5 feet to infinity is in sharp focus.

Anyway good work? I?m off to check out your gallery?

this image was shot with the 50 at f1.8

others will tell you that there is to much contrast and to try and print it a bit lighter. I like it, the 'darkness' adds a mood to it. The sky is bright white, sorta symbolizes freedom or cleanliness but we're stuck in the abyss...good work.

    95 cent Broccoli

I am not sure if this old man knew i was taking his photo, but he

seemed to pause or strike these types of poses for me. I returned the

favor of some great images by buying his 95 Cent Broccoli.

If the sun was overhead the fog would refract the light, illuminate the background and cause the foreground to be a silhouette?or he could have faked it all in photo shop. It?s a conversation piece. I like it.

I wonder if its because they see their reflections in the front element of the lens or what, but my dog does this same thing...And he always bounces his nose on the front of the lens. Way to sacrifice your gear to get the photo...hehe
