  1. The short version of the question is... why will Photoshop not allow me to

    define a brush.?

The long version is... I am trying to define a brush which is my name and the

    copyright symbol.

So I make a text layer with my name.

then add from custom shape tool a path in the shape of the copyright symbol.

Marquee around both and go to define brush preset under the Edit menu.

Sometimes it allows it and sometimes it is greyed out and wont allow clicking

that option. What criteria is not being met when I cant select this option?

Thanks in advance for your help

  2. Just after reading this forum I found this on the net, I'm not sure how related it is but you may find it interesting. Below is an extract the full piece can be found on

Some factors related to personality may have an influence on perception. One such factor is 'tolerance of ambiguity' (a term employed by Else Frenkel-Brunswik). In 1951, two psychologists called Block reported an experiment in which subjects were placed in a dark room where only a point of light was visible. Since they had nothing else to go by, all of them saw the light sway in various directions. However, some reported the light as moving in a constant direction from trial to trial and to a constant number of inches. Such people have been described as having a low 'tolerance of ambiguity': they require more stability than most, and quickly tend to manufacture it in situations of ambiguity. Other people tend to take longer to establish such a norm: they have a high tolerance of ambiguity.

  3. I have been playing with PicLens which is a Monzilla Firefox add-on and it is a

fantastic way to view pictures and this site is a perfect candidate. I think you

should seriously consider making it PicLens compatible.

  4. I need some help with Photoshop CS 2. When I pick a colour using any one of the

various methods available it jumps that colour into my background swatch not the

foreground colour. So every single time I pick a colour I need to hit ?x? to

switch the colours around. It never used to do this and I can?t find a way to

switch it back to the default so the colour I pick becomes the colour I?m

working with and not the background??

Please help ease my frustration level

    John
