Untitled in Sport 2 Posted February 26, 2008 Hello, I am completely new to this site and sports photography, but after reading on the subject of indoor sports made an attempt to shoot some 8th grade club volleyball. I have a Canon 30D and used a combination of a 50mm and 85 mm prime lens throughout the day.I would really appreciate any helpful criticism regarding any and all aspects of the photo. Composition, exposure, focus etc. I tried to do a custom WB, didn't know how and used a tungsten setting instead. I took 500 or so pictures and most were not so good, and this one is marginal. I found it really difficult to get good angles as their arms often blocked their faces and so their heads were turned away so much. I used AI servo, tried to lock in the focus with the center point. This particular photo is shot with 85mm lens ISO 800, 1/500, f1.8. I used these settings based on some great photos I studied by Wilson Tsoi. Please help!Thank you,Mary
