I'll second all the superlatives above and suggest that it was brave of you to take this. Mountain lions are ferocious and, in the wild, almost always hungry. I'm glad you made it out alive!

Strong image, but (and I'm being quite serious here) histoplasmosis is nothing to mess with. Bird droppings often contain dangerous levels of the fungus. You don't even have to get the droppings on you; often, just stirring up the dust on the droppings can be enough to get infected.
