The vastness of the scene is very well illustrated; I believe the sea recedes from the coastline a great deal on low tides and the receding figures, from foreground to background, convey that amply. Congrats.

I like the framing, overall. Wonder if it was possible to frame just the one tree, instead of two. That way, could have got a panoramic view of the brilliantly lit sky.

Every year in January the herits (sadhus) from all over India (and
abroad) gather in the confluence of the river Ganges with the ocean (bay
of Bengal). A dip early in the morning is considered holy. This picture is
one of such saadhus who has travelled hundreds of miles to be at the
confluence.

This surely tells a story. I like the cropping. Thanks for sharing.

The shot taken in West Java, Indonesia. Comments welcome. Please
view the enlarged image. Thanks.

Thanks Tarek and Sorin for your suggestive comments. It really goes a long way to provide the necessary encouragement to go forward.

This light situation only comes once in a while. What sets up the frame, I believe, is the contrast between the sky tones and that of the vegetation. And the patch of light has been spot on, to draw attention to the simple frame. And thanks for visiting my page and the encouraging comments given. Look forward to more offerings.

Thanks for the comments, Ricardo. That was inspiring indeed.

Excellent capture, Alpo. Hope to see more from you in the future. And thanks for visiting my page and crtiquing meaningfully. I have one frame of the same scene from an angle that you advocate as proper.I had taken the particular frame for posting here because I thought the crashing waves add an element of dynamism to the picture. Thanks a lot.

The formation of the waves on the ocean fascinated me. This was shot
on an execissively overcast day.

The image was taken on a stormy day in the souther coast of Java,
Indonesia. Comments welcome.

The shot was taken on the Southern coast of Java, Indonesia. Would
welcome reviews and critique.

What I like about this photograph is the timing. Had the boy been in the brighter patch of light, the impact surely would have lessened. The form conveys the feeling of playfulness and the stripes on the jacket harmonises well with the patches on the stony stairway. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

A pretty good portrait with excellent details on the skin texture. I wish I could see an enlarged image. I like the man's happy expression, the balance of the frame appears a bit disturbed with so much of negative space on the left of the frame. Thanks for sharing, anyway, Jaina.

A decent frame with slow shutter speed giving an ethereal look to the flowing water. But a little warmer tones could have helped?
