I used wix.com for a few months and loved the price and freedom of being able to customize the entire site... BUT its TOO SLOW! I ended up switching to Photobiz.com. They have excellent support and great templates. Its 125 one time fee then $15 a month for up to 200 photos. To me it was well worth it. For someone on a limited budget I would recommend building a wix site for free, but dont get too complicated. Use it to display some of your best work and make it clear that its just a temporary website. The more pictures you put up the slower it gets, and believe me you will get more complaints about the speed then compliments on your pictures. Good luck to ya!

Yea, I've heard that too, I think that may be a pretty economical way to go. Only other thing i worry about are fire codes and what not... any one have any experience with a similar situation?

Ok, my partner and I are opening a studio in september. We found an awesome deal on a downtown building with a storefront. The entire space is about 58x19 ft,without any separation! But our plan is to hang a curtain from ceiling to floor as a room separator. Which will also serve as a wall to our studio. My goal is to keep as much light out as possible. Will a black out curtain absorb too much light for portraits? Any one have any other suggestions for a room divider/ temporary studio wall...
Ted,
I'm reading a book right now that you may be interested in. It addresses the exact issue's
that you are concerned about. The book is called Sell & Re-Sell Your Photos by Rohn Engh. I
think I paid $17.00 for it through Amazon. I've found the information invaluable in terms of
developing a plan to break into the stock photography business. It sounds like you could benefit as well.

Wow! Thanks for all the great input from everyone. I'm going to buy a new wide angle as
soon as I get enough free cash. Picture quality means allot to me and I don't want to screw up
my new 5D. I was just looking forward to using the 17mm with the full frame. I will just have
to wait.

Okay, that's what I needed to know. Thanks

I just purchased the Canon 5D and I'm having trouble mounting my EFS 18-55 canon lenses that came
with my digital rebel XT. My canon 70-200 IS 2.8 L lens mounts to either body with no problems but for
some reason the 18-55 won't mount. Am I doing something wrong? Any and all help would be
appreciated. Thanks
