    i adore plants/flower photos in b/w--this is exactly why i adore them. they are so difficult to pull off (for me, anyway . . .)

    i thought it was a painting as well--the atmoshpere, color, contrast--it all has me a bit envious. i don't usually get into "people shots" but i think that either breugel elder/younger would agree that it's a sweet photo . . .

    i love the ambiguity with this photo--i thought it was a macro shot--now i'm not so sure. now it's a macro shot again--but in any case i'm glad it's in b/w and i'm glad it's mysterious . . .i like trying to read it (pun intended as i initially thought they were book spines)
