Please evaluate my Dance Photos in Casual Photo Conversations Posted February 15, 2008 Please evaluate my work! I have currently done two Indian Classical solo dance concerts. I had so much fun trying to capture the correct poses....and because the dance is so fast it's a challenge to capture a pose before they move on to the next steps.... I like to explore this field more, and would love some evaluations. You can view my Indian Classical dance concert photos on: http://www.photo.net/photodb/member-photos?user_id=4009030 I currently use a Canon 30D with 70-200 f/2.8 IS. The environment I am in is as follows: In the auditorium, I sit on the third row, middle seat (no one in front of me)and I am limited to that seat only...away from the stage 3-4 meters. The House lights (or audience lights) is very very low and I can't use flash. The Issues I'm facing are typically for a photographer in this type of sitution. The Dance is quite fast moving that some of my photos are awfully blured. (especially ones when the dancer is in the air, etc) And when the dancer comes toward the front of the stage....i end up cropping the dancer's arms and legs, etc. which is quite annoying. And as an overall comment....I like to see the photos alot more sharper and crisper. Any suggestions to get around these issues? I welcome your recommendations and critiques! Thank you very much
