Hi Igor, I am a painter recently converted to digital painting.
I took the liberty to made a painting from this photo, (need to practice my virtual brushes)
My painting is not a photography converted into a painting by some preset effect.
It was done like traditional painting, a very long process. lol
Instead of using real brushes, canvas and colors, it is all a virtual kit, pen, tablet, brushes, colors and canvas. But it requires some practice to mastered those tools.
If you are not pleased with the liberty I took, because I expose my painting in my port-folio on Deviant Art, (it is very usefull because other painters can give me appreciation and tips).
Of course I put a link to the original photography with your name.
So just leave me a message here and I will delete it from my port-folio.
Thanks
Claude

Hi Jon,
I am a painter recently converted to digital painting.
I found your photo very cool and began a painting.
I posted my work in progression on DevianArt

I know I don't have your permission, but there is no email to contact you.
If you want me to remove it, no problem I will do it.

This photo was not taking by me, a friend Isabelle (Zabel) took it.
The picture was landscape, the model was standing on his arm on the floor.
I flip it and work a little concept, part computer part watercolour.

Finally I prefer the way you do it, very soft light. I put the 2 photos and look at it again and again. She is standing in that soft light in silence and I think the main theme of this photo is that silence. So this soft light is necessary.
What a beauty.

I think it is too dark. I try a different light on this photo just to satisfy my curiosity and it gives an interesting atmosphere and a tridimensional effect. I won't post it without your permission but I can send it to you by e-mail or post it here if you want to see.
I know this isn't cool retouching the work of an artist, so forgive me. But this model is incredibly beautiful to keep in the dark.

The light is beautiful. It is like the old school of painting. Bravo.

I love this photo, it reminds me Isabella Rossellini in my favorite Lynch's movie "Blue Velvet"

I closed my account at DeviantArt because there was too much pornography on that site.
I moved to CGSociety, you can see the painting here instead
