Very nice. Much better than your earlier shot of M42. Well done!

Well done, Britton! You have achieved an excellent balance between the sky exposure and the foreground exposure, and have processed it well. Your choice of a very wide angle lens was a good one too. I look forward to more!

Thanks for the kind remarks, everyone.
Diane, on the extreme right of the photo you can see some people that are standing very near the lip of the Horseshoe Falls, on the Canadian side. I am a little farther down from them and leaning over the railing (just a bit!) to keep the people and railings out of the image. Thanks for the kind words.

Certainly one of the most photgraphed landscapes in the world. Even
so, here's my shot of it. Thanks for looking!

Obviously the picture was converted to black and white, and the
contrast was adjusted, but that's about it. Thanks very much for looking!

This is at the end of the pier at the canal that leads into Hamilton
Harbour on Lake Ontario. Thanks very much for looking!

The late afternoon sun shines on the boat houses on Lake Erie at Port

This is a long exposure shot done at night. The clouds have moved
during the exposure, creating the blur in the sky, and the illumination is
provided by the lights along the pier. Thanks for looking!

I didn't have my tripod, so I set the camera on a post and set the time
exposure. Thanks very much for looking.

The anticipated moonrise was a couple of minutes late as we waited for
it to rise above a cloud bank. Thanks very much for looking!

Thanks very much for looking (and yes, that's me relected in the center
of the grill!).

Hi Scott,
Combining mutiple images of varying exposures is a technique that has been in practice for some time in the astrophotography field, and certainly long before the HDR craze swept the photography field. You have done it very well here, and I'm sure that you will be delighted with future results as well. Well done! I'm looking forward to more.

I have stood there and looked at this building many times, and you have allowed me to see it in a completely new way. Well done!
