This has a nice softness to it, kind of like that end of the day contentment. I like that about it. Not sure how I feel about the contrast between that softness and the paleness where the light is not touching. Good pic overall though. TB

A picture worthy to be on anyones wall. Your tastes are close to my own, this is probably why I like your photos so much. Keep it up K.

I'm not sure I agree on the cropping, but i'm just an hobbyist and stubborn. I like the picture the way it is. I like the purity that this picture has, the innocence of youth that the child represents.

Question Kilian, were you going for any sort of message in this photo. When I looked at this it made me think, "what was the intent". It might be something like footsteps frozen in time (hence the b/w effect), or how the world does not stop for people, or some such thing like that. I was just wondering because pictures like this are what I like about art. They inspire us to think about things in our own ways, in our own time. Anyhoot, I like the photo and hope to see more from you.

Now this is coming from another who is also limited in his photoshop skills, but I like this picture a lot. It has a tone to it that is appealing to me. The eyes, curls, and softness of tone really do this picture justice.
  1. I think this is a good first try Kilian. The title made me smile, being a father myself and all. It's funny how the small things are what makes us relate to pictures and such. Keep up the good work.

Great idea Richard, I do agree somewhat with the previous post. A little more sky is just what is needed I think, but then again that is my vision and not yours. Good capture. Hope to see more like this.

I like the composition of the picture, that is a definite. The more I looked at this the more attracted I became to the striking aspect of the silver pole that splits the picture. Very interesting photo you have here, it requires more than a glance to appreciate it. Well done.

Love the title of this one. It really adds something to the whole. The picture has a nice feel to it, the soft yellow in the background is wonderful, the sun looks as if it wants to burst out from behind the tree. That is where I feel that this is a good photo. My eye keeps going back to the tree which is exactly what you were trying for I think. Great work Ananda. Congrats.

Thanks Ananda for the help, it is different to see a subject without any background, gives one a different perspective. Very educational, thank you for your time.

Thanks for the comment. I put this on here knowing it was not my best work, but I wanted to get some ideas on what I can do better. This was just a makeshift thing to shoot some Halloween pictures of my favorite little subject. This was really the only good shot out of them all, kids are hard to work with.

Hope to learn more from you.

    Best regards,

What can you say about a picture that brings a smile to your face. After all that's what art is all about, expression and emotion. Great job, love this picture.

I think this is an interesting example of street photography. I like the colorful pictoral overtop the brick, but I don't know if I like the chair included or not. This would be an interesting conversation piece.
