My goodness. That must have been a large telescope. -
Add more contrast and reduce the exposure to reduce the halo impinging on the moon. -

How long was your track? I get similar results with my Canon Powershot SX60 at 1 second with no tracking. I would expect your colors to be more intense. -
The C8 should have given you bands. -
With that setup you should have seen the ring divisions, if the seeing was good. -
Out in the desert? -
Was this tracked? If not. What speed and ISO? -
It seems to be out of focus. Use manual and set to infinity. -
Either blow out the backlight completely or bring it down to correct exposure and let the sillouette darken. -
Hold the sky, bring down the light glare, lighten up the roof slightly. -
Not sufficient shadow detail. Bright highlights should be brought down slightly so lines show. -
Was the sign important? Should show the whole thing. -
Shadow on red building should be lighter.
