well Les it is somehow better yes for the dark part but i still overexposed the photo on the columns :( i'll try to do some more work on the photo. thanks for your initiative. i'll repost this after some work on it and i'll be honored if you'll spare an opinion on that one too.

well mike what do you suggest? expose it more or less? what would be the solution of getting one lightened part and one dark part in details in the same frame? i suppose you can't since either you loose details in the shadows or over expose details in light.
