Thank you Phil - I had read that no photography was allowed in the temple at Ranakpur . Is this the case?

Hello everyone.
We are trying to track down good places to stay for several days at the end of October :
Delhi, Neemrana, Shekawati region (Bagar, Nawalgarh, Mandawa?), Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bundi, Jaipur, Agra,
Delhi.
We are both photographers, so plan to really spend some quality time here exploring.
We are seasoned travellers, so not interested in a very touristy kind of experience (and do not want to be in a
hotel with a big busload of package tourists), If it's in a restored heritage building, all the better. I have
heard very mixed reviews about some hotels. The criticism I have most heard is that they are a bit sterile or
"put on."
We can afford to splurge, but not looking to go hotels just because they are the most expensive.
Comments on the route, where to avoid, what to see, architecture, rural landscapes, step wells, havallis, etc.
recommended agents who organises private journeys, from anyone how has firsthand knowledge of the area and/or
personal experience with any of the hotels, or the region welcome.
Best and my thanks,
Miffy O’

What happens at EU customs if someone resident in the USA has bought a D3 as a 'gift' for someone visiting/returning to the UK?
