I recently inherited an Aires 35-V Rangefinder with 45mm f/1.9 Coral lens that is at least 30 years old. It seems to be functioning well but I would appreciate any information anyone may have on this camera as there are a few knobs and buttons that are not intuitive to me.
Thanks in advance.

I bought the 300. Great camera. Does what I need. In auto
everything mode, I'd guess it is the more accurate camera. As I
improve and use more manual settings, I find it wanting in
convenience (though not features). eg separate shutter/aperture
thumbwheels, quick exposure compensation, etc. As of now, I wouldn't
trade the 300 for the 50 but if I had to do it again, I would get the
50E.

I have an EOS 300 (Rebel 2000). It does not have a 100% viewfinder in that I get more on film than I see throught the viewfinder. This is a little annoying as I have been taking care to crop out unwanted stuff only to have them appear in the slide/print. I have 2 questions:
1. Is there a simple way of estimating what appears on the film?
2. What EOS bodies have a WYSIWYG viewfinder?
Thanks

Thank you to those who responded. I went for the 28-135 IS lens.
From my first 2 rolls exposed, I was amazed and delighted at the
results in terms of colour and sharpness. The IS really works! This
has become my favourite lens.

I am researching a new lens. The last thread I could find on this subject was several months ago, I was wondering if opinions had changed with several more months experience. I hope I am not repeating the question. For a one lens kit, for general purpose, easy to travel and handhold lens, yet maintaining good quality (sharp and contrasty to 8x10 size) photos, would you recommend the Canon 28-105 or 28-135IS or something else? Budget is up to the 28-135IS range. What would be the advantages of your choice? Thanks for responses in advance.

Will the Canon EF24-85 zoom with and without hood obstruct the built in flash of either EOS300 (Rebel2000) or EOS5 (A2E)?
Thanks
